The above list of wholesalers is not what you'd expect to pay much for, yet it has been sold for alot on eBay!

Plus it's NOT guaranteed to be scam free due to the risk of using the Product Sourcing sites...

The above suppliers such as doba, dropship design, and dropshipper network do offer a great package at a price - where they give you a webstore containing all their products automatically stcked - so they're excellent in that way. An automated dropship business website - what could be easier?

Salehoo also offer in-depth product sourcing with their $67 membership like Worldwide Brands.

The downside is, if you were to join all of the above dropshippers and services - the only ones findable by the public - you would need to spend $50-$200 on each.

The "Catch 22"

Now what?

After selling a few of my own lists on eBay, many sellers mirrored me to tell you that they have the best list, that they have the same wholesalers that retail stores use, that they are professional and didn't get their list from the search engines.

LIARS!

As you know I have personally bought such lists currently being sold right now.

One even said there were 100's of PS3 sources, but there were only 5 links - and they didn't have any PS3's!

Those 5 were basically dropship middlemen selling overly expensive products, and mostly junk and accessories, plus a couple of product sourcing sites.

This is how they figured they could say things like "100's of sources" in their ad listings by mentioning a couple of product sourcing sites...

Another misleading thing is the price. Have you ever seen PS3 for up to 75% off RRP!" or something similar? What rubbish. I saw the "wholesale" site in question with the PS3 RRP at 1700, and wholesale $850.

Obviously the RRP was increased to make the "wholesale" price look cheaper. If you believe something like a Playstation 3 can be legitimately bought for 75% off or $250 - keep dreaming! Remember RRP is a price recommended for stores - not what you can sell it for or an indication of profit.

Q: Couple questions. Is this information resellable? I didn't notice that it was copywritten although I may have missed that. Also, can you explain your guarantee? If I buy this list and am not able to purchase items at wholesale, is my purchase refundable? I am specifically interested in purchasing PS3, wii, xbox to start selling on ebay. A: Hello, the info is copyright and can be resold but only under an affiliate agreement - meaning you'll get 40% commission per sale through clickbank. You can also sell another list for your own price and keep all of it.

The money back guarantee applies to the fact that the suppliers legit and trustworthy. Prices are negotiable and depending on the product you may need to actually buy real wholesale (that is more than just 1) to be competitive on ebay. The last time I checked a supplier sells very cheap ps3's that can be sold on ebay for a good profit (i have done so before) but I don't guarantee prices because I don't control them. Since I list suppliers that deal with the manufacturers it is very unlikely to get cheaper prices. Don't expect massive profits from electronics, it's only the manufacturer that makes millions.

There is alot to sell for christmas from this list such as ipods, games, cameras, hifi, tvs, game controllers and consoles etc so its highly valuable, especially since the suppliers are 100% trustworthy.

A: Hello again, the process is a matter of creating an account with the wholesaler you are interested in. Sometimes they ask for a form to be faxed so they have your signature. The ABN is important but anyone can get one easily and for free.

The wholesalers will ship directly to the customer. That's the best part as you don't have to buy in bulk and risk money upfront. After you collect the money from the sale you order the product. And it means you don't have to ship yourself, only order it to be shipped.

Buying PS3 in Australia can be only $100 less than retail, but you can get them from Asian suppliers I provide in the list for AU$558 + shipping (60G Jap model). Is there additional charge to use these vendors such as a membership. A: Hello, most require an ABN in Australia, SSN or tax certificate in the US and sometimes references of other suppliers or your bank etc. You apply for an account on a personal basis so there is some negotiation and these suppliers are not so strict. You can use Asian suppliers without any of those requirements. There is no minimum order as mentioned in the listing. I'm not buying anything at the moment so don't know the current prices, but I was getting the 60GB PS3 for US$483 a few months ago. Either way can I use my own SS# as a Tax ID in lieu of becoming a actual registered buisness. "How are YOU, enlisted with them if you don't mind me asking?" A: Hello, I am based in Australia and am registered for GST (Goods and Services Tax) and also have an ABN (Australian Business Number). I have included Asian suppliers in the list which don't require these sorts of things. In other countries such as the US the requirements are up to the suppliers and some just need the SSN and some references. Basically because these are real wholesalers they prefer to deal with businesses only, to give you an idea of what you need (eg. supplier references, bank references etc). I haven't got an account with every single supplier because some US ones won't deal internationally. Remember you are applying to become their dealer so the application can be negotiated 1 on 1. I think the biggest names like Myer are able to buy from the manufacturer directly because of their massive orders but I'm not sure. What are you thinking of buying? Most of the suppliers (11) in Australia sell consumer electronics and yes you can pick up if there is an office near you - consoles are a little more difficult to deal with in Australia (only 3 major suppliers) but I also give Asian suppliers that are quite cheap. I've sold PS3's on eBay with the Asian suppliers. The majority of the games suppliers are in the USA. You will need an ABN to deal with the wholesalers in Australia but not for the overseas ones. 1. What does "Authorized Supplier" mean?	There are many so called "wholesalers" out there, but if you found them with a search engine or advertised, they would be middlemen. Basically, they buy in bulk from another wholesaler. Authorized Suppliers deal directly with the manufacturer and so have authority from the manufacturer to sell the product. Because they are chosen by the manufactuer - who has the greatest reputation at stake - authorized suppliers have a #1 reputation and are the absolute best ones to buy from. Other dropship wholesalers are plagued with issues such as long shipping times, slow customer service, high fees, non-manufacturer supplied warranty, etc...
2. Can I buy the products for myself?	Yes, you can certainly buy any of the products and ship them to your own address. These wholesalers have no minimum order so you can buy just 1 product if you like.
3. How do I know how much to charge for shipping?	Product detail pages usually shows the shipping price, if not contact the wholesaler.
4. Can I sell your info to others and make profits?	To resell any of my information you need an account with clickbank (free) and obtain a commission. You may also download this site and sell it for whatever price you like. Any other way is forbidden. Please see the make money with this site section.
5. Can I sell these items on eBay? If so, then how do I do it?	1) Login to the wholesalers website 2) Find an item that you want to sell 3) List your item on eBay Login to your eBay account and create an ad to sell your product. Click Sell in the navigation bar at the top of any eBay page. eBay's Sell Your Item form will take you through the process of listing your item step-by-step, including helping you find the correct category for your item. 4) Get paid Once you have sold the item, contact the buyer and collect your payment BEFORE placing the order on the wholesalers website 5) Get product shipped Once you have sold an item, go back to the wholesalers website and buy the product and will ship the product directly to your customer on your behalf. It's getting harder and more competitive to sell on eBay, not to mention expensive. Although amoung the best ways to sell, there are other alternatives to eBay.

Selling offline is one option and can be far more profitable, as you can sell closer to the retail value rather than competitive online prices. You can advertise in newspapers, community notice boards, local services directories and word of mouth for example, and either get the item shipped to be picked up or directly to your customer.

Another way is with your own website. You can set your own price and have greater control of policies and listings. A great way to start is get some hosting and integrated site builder. More info will be available on this soon.

The above suppliers such as doba, dropship design, and dropshipper network do offer a great package at a price - where they give you a webstore containing all their products automatically stocked - so they're excellent in that way. An automated dropship business website - what could be easier?

The downside is, if you were to join all of the above dropshippers and services - the only ones findable by the public - you would need to spend $50-$200 on each.

The "Catch 22"

As you know I have personally bought such lists currently being sold right now. One even said there were 100's of PS3 sources, but there were only 5 links - and they didn't have any PS3's! Those 5 were basically dropship middlemen selling overly expensive products, and mostly junk and accessories, plus a couple of product sourcing sites.

This is how they figured they could say things like "100's of sources" in their ad listings by mentioning a couple of product sourcing sites...

Another misleading thing is the price. Have you ever seen PS3 for up to 75% off RRP!" or something similar? What rubbish. I saw the "wholesale" site in question with the PS3 RRP at 1700, and wholesale $850. Obviously the RRP was increased to make the "wholesale" price look cheaper. If you believe something like a Playstation 3 can be legitimately bought for 75% off or $250 - keep dreaming! Remember RRP is a price recommended for stores - not what you can sell it for or an indication of profit.

Know the truth about electronics prices

When looking at dropship wholesale prices for electronic items, it is strongly advised that you don't expect them to be very much different to retail prices and especially eBay prices.

It's always the manufacturers that are the millionaires, and the wholesalers prefer to sell in bulk because not even they make much of a markup, usually only 1%.

If you make 2 - 20% profit then you should be very happy. The sooner you realise this the safer you'll be, because you are less likely to take the bait from scam sellers offering PS3's for $150 for example.

Selling on eBay? - have a Plan B!

There is no doubt that eBay is the most attractive place to sell on, but you should definately consider selling with out it. Why? Because "everyone's doing it." This means competition. I know for a fact that many sellers can sell products cheaper than you can get wholesale, even if you have the genuine authorized ones such as the ones from this list. But how? They do the 4 things mentioned above to start with. Other competitors on eBay:;

Negotiate with the wholesaler
Buy in bulk
Buy in massive amounts directly from the manufacturer
"Grey" import from another country (not recommended unless being upfront about it)
Buy surplus, liquidated, non-oem, refurbished or even retail store sale stock
Take a trip to China and shake hands with manufacturers

If you can't do those things then consider selling outside of eBay - and don't expect to get prices for genuine products that beat any other price and only buy 1 at a time in a dropship arrangement! The second reason is that eBay has a bad reputation to a couple of distributors, so find some other options before applying for accounts.

Join the mass exodus!
Many sellers are leaving eBay because they've had enough of their fees and policies (such as the "paypal only" policy in Australia.) Now for the REAL wholesalers!

There are many so called "wholesalers" out there, but if you found them with a search engine or advertised, they would be middlemen.

Basically, they buy in bulk from another wholesaler. My list focuses on only the authorized dropshippers of game consoles like PS3, XBOX, Wii, PSP, GameBoy, etc, accessories, games and alot more other cool electronic stuff!

Authorized Dealers deal directly with the manufacturer and so have authority from the manufacturer to sell the product.

Because they are chosen by the manufactuer - who has the greatest reputation at stake - authorized wholesalers are #1, A-Grade businesses and are the absolute best ones to buy from.

Other dropship wholesalers are plagued with issues such as long shipping times, slow customer service, high fees, non-manufacturer supplied warranty, etc...

Be realistic when selling on eBay...

As some of you know, I spent many years buying and selling both on and offline and several of my products are based upon my own experience in this area. I know that the vast majority of my customers and subscribers have an interest in trading whether it be on eBay or at the local market but more and more I am seeing people with completely unrealistic expectations of what they will be able to do. Most commonly these unrealistic expectations are in respect of how much it actually costs to purchase specific products and what they can then be sold on for. I regularly get emails from people who want to know where they can purchase products such as mobile (cell) phones, new release DVDs, Playstation games and similar at, say, a 50% discount to resell on eBay. The fact is that such a thing is not available - it is a simple case of supply and demand and competition. Take DVDs for example, most people think that these are excellent products to resell on eBay because they are very popular, not particularly expensive and easy to package and ship. Unfortunately, they could not be more wrong. The DVD market is one of the most competitive that there is - take a look for yourself and see how many auctions there are on eBay for DVDs at any one time. I have just looked and counted almost 300,000! At any one time there will only be a certain number of buyers wanting to purchase a particular DVD and if you take into account the numerous different places there are that each buyer could purchase from, it is likely that in general, there will be more copies of an individual DVD available than there are buyers to purchase them. This situation causes prices to fall. The other factor that forces prices down is the fact that one DVD is the same as another. By this I mean that from a buyers point of view, there is no difference to a new DVD purchased on eBay to one which is purchased from their local DVD store. Often the only way to differentiate is on price and of course, the only way to make the price more attractive to a buyer is to lower it. The above reasons help to explain why the wholesale discount on a new release DVD is just £1 or £2 at most ($2 or $3 roughly in the US). When you take into account the fact that the large retail chains can purchase thousands of DVDs at a time and receive a bigger discount than individual traders, you soon see why it is very difficult for a small business to compete in such a competitive industry. You simply cannot purchase new release DVDs at 50% discount and even if you could, it wouldn't be long before prices were forced down as there is always someone willing to sell a little bit cheaper than the next man. It isn't just DVDs that fall into this category. Take mobile (cell) phones. Here in the UK you can walk down just about any high street and get the latest phones either free or for a minimal token payment. The stores are relying on making their money from the line rental contract that you will have to sign in order to get the phone. Of course, the actual cost of the phone is not free - most new mobiles are actually worth £200 or £300 which means that if you want to buy a batch of phones at wholesale, you are going to be looking at a pretty high unit cost. As with most electrical products, the market is competitive and prices have been forced down which means that the difference between your wholesale buying price and your retail selling price is minimal. There are numerous products that suffer from the same market conditions as DVDs and phones and new/small traders really should avoid trying to sell such items at all costs because it will usually be frustrating and ultimately not financially rewarding. When trying to decide what products to sell, you need to be thinking about the type of market that a particular product is sold in. If there are already numerous sellers and many large companies selling at considerable discounts this is far from ideal. The exception to the rule is if you are able to add value in some way to make your 'offering' more unique. eBay is THE most popular home business in the USA, but it's not without its problems. Many have tried to succeed but have failed due to confusion over what products to sell, giant numbers of competitors, copy and picture theft from other sellers and eBay and Paypal that eat into profits. A JV partner eliminates all of that because all transactions can be funneled through a hands-off system. 7. eBay selling lives or dies through the 'feedback' system. Negative feedback can kill sales instantly and lack of feedback causes buyers to hesitite and choose other sellers. Feedback is totally irrelevant to a Joint Venture seller because she is using the reputation of carefully chosen other sellers. She knows in advance that their feedback is high quality or she doesn't do deals with them. 8. Inexperienced sellers sometimes drag wiser merchants into price wars. In a panic over sales, they foolishly slash prices, beginning a chain reaction that results in bare bones bids that allow no one to make any money. A Joint Venture seller floats serenely above such hiccups in the marketplace. 9. Best of all, a JV seller doesn't settle for a one time sale. She concentrates her efforts on a mailing list of happy customers that she can sell to again and again and again. In this way, not only is she ensuring repeate profits, but she gets paid for creating this list, rather than having to pay someone else for names. 7 Tips for Selling Expensive Collectibles

Recently, a friend asked me to help her brother sell his collection on Lladro glass figurines on eBay. These are expensive glass collectibles and I knew nothing about them - but I don't have to. The principles for selling expensive collectibles on eBay are the same, regardless of what is being sold. Obviously, like any eBay auction, the seller must have a powerful listing with great pictures. This is always true regardless of what the merchandise is. Expensive collectibles offer splendid opportunities, but also need special precautions. 1. Price: decide the lowest amount you will accept for each figurine and set that price as a reserve. Then make your opening bid absurdly low - yes, absurdly. Example: if you will accept $1,000 - make your opening bid $25. There is no risk in this, because you don't have to sell unless the bidding reaches $1000, but the low price attracts buyers, (assuming there is demand, of course). Looking at completed eBay auctions allows us to track prices, Again and again we learn that starting the price where the seller hopes it will end is not a wise tactic. For instance, a seller wants to get $750 for his figurine. An opening bid of $750 won't attract nearly as many buyers as an opening bid of $25 and - surprisingly - the lower bid almost always gets higher prices. There is some psychology at work with the cheap price. It may not make logical sense, but it's the reality of life on eBay. 2. Devote space in your auction listing explaining how you will pack your item to ensure safe transit. This is critically important because in the back of every buyer's mind is the dread of receiving a package that rattles. A collectibles buyer will inevitably be thinking of the hassle she will have to go through - and the possible loss of purchase price - if her item is broken. She needs to know that the seller has carefully considered this issue and has a solution. 3. For the protection of both of you, insist that the buyer pay for appropriate insurance. Don't allow this to be an option. You definitely do not want the liability of a broken collectible that costs hundreds of dollars. In fact, if a customer objects to paying for insurance, this might possibly be a red flag. A genuine collector is very eager to add to her collection and wants her figurine to be protected. 4. We can safely assume that every Internet buyer has heard stories of fraud on eBay and elsewhere on the Net. Therefore, anything you can do to prove the authenticity of your collectible is well worth your time. Is there a marking on the bottom? Do you have the original box or other container? Does it have a label? Is there a certificate of authenticity or an appraisal by a respected organization? If the answer to any of these is "yes", then be certain to emphasize your authenticity in your auction. Taking pictures of your proof is especially effective. 5. I don't suggest offering a guarantee except in the most general way - that is, you, the seller, are telling the truth about the product. Anyone bidding on a collectible is knowledgeable and therefore they know what they're buying so there should be no reason for a return. If someone expresses dissatisfaction and mails your merchandise back, there is every likelihood of it being broken. You do not want the hassle of trying to collect on broken merchandise or putting yourself into a litigious situation with someone who refuses to believe that the collectible was broken via return shipping. Also, you don't want to take a loss on your eBay fees, which might be substantial if the price is high. 6. With a really expensive item, always offer the option of an escrow service - at the buyer's expense, of course. They may not take want this service, but make certain they have the option. You, of course, know that your merchandise is legitimate, but the buyer isn't so certain. eBay recommends an escrow service that is available to all members. 7. If you're willing to ship worldwide, you need to take special steps to protect yourself. In the US we have AVS (Address Verification System) which offers some protection. A very large portion of the fraud suffered by buyers occurs outside the United States and you are justified in protecting yourself. Losing the purchase price on a $5 item isn't such a big deal - but a $1,000 collectible absolutely does matter. Your bank can advise you on the time it will take to verify foreign funds. Be certain to let any prospective buyer know in your auction that there will be a delay if they are outside of your country. Do not let your merchandise out of your hands until you are sure! If you follow these 'rules', the chances of selling your expensive collectibles at the highest possible prices will be greatly increased. Go to Ebay's 'Hot Item Forum' and find out what products and services are selling well. 2. Find a local wholesaler who sells the products or services that are selling well on Ebay who doesn't already sell on Ebay (most won't be) 3. Ask them, "If I was able to move X amount of units of your product, what percentage of your profits would you share with me?" 4. If they are interested and are willing to give you a decent share of their profits, get them to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Joint Venture Contract. They are both simple documents that you can find and download from the Internet. 5. Arrange shipping with the company. Ask them to dropship the products to the people who have purchased from you on Ebay. (If they won't do this get them to ship pallets of the product to you for you to do the shipping.) 6. Get them to provide you with a complete list of their in-stock inventory. You'll then be in a position to offer related products to any ebay customers who purchase from you as extra backend sales. Just make sure you agree a good profit percentage on each backend product with the company. 7. Advertise the products on Ebay and rake in the cash. The only condition about showing your email address is the one shown must also be your registered email account with eBay. Before you list it, make sure they match up. 4) About Me Page eBay actually allows you to link to your own website from your About Me page, as long as the actual page does not directly offer to sell items. Therefore make it an information or about us page that you link to, BUT one where visitors can easily navigate to your catalog of items for sale. Additionally drive traffic to your About Me Page by including a link on every listings, for example "Click here to learn about me". An average basic shop on eBay will get over 1500 item views within a month. If you can drive just a small proportion of these to your about me page & then to your site you'll certainly see a difference in your non-eBay sales. 5) User Id While eBay does not allow your user id to be that of an website, you should have it as closely to resembling your site name as possible. You CAN NOT attach .com, -com or *com to the end of your user id - this is strictly against eBay policy. However nothing would stop your id being VisitMyShop. I can tell you, I get many emails per day from eBay sellers, asking me what they can sell. Let me explain this more in detail. Let’s take John and David for example. Both are sellers and try to make money on eBay. Let’s start with John. He mainly gets his items from garage sales. So, every Saturday morning he gets up very early, hops into his car and drives around the neighbourhood to check out the garage sales. So he went last Saturday. John did not buy anything on the first two garage sales, but on his third garage sale, he found a little treasure. An old book from 1897 - for a bargain price of $10. Bingo! John was proud! ‘I can sell this for huge profit’, he thought and he went home. He took his digital camera and he made a high quality digital photo. It took quite some time but finally he was happy with the result. Then he had to upload this picture to his computer and he spent some time writing the sales copy. Late Saturday afternoon finally he was finished and launched this book onto eBay. 7-10 days later his item got sold for $75!! John is excited. He packs the item, labels it with the buyers address and then he drives to the nearest post office. Oh no, what a long line. After 15 min of waiting he could finally post this item to his customer! Wow, a lot of work for $65 profit? Don’t you think? Let’s look at David. He usually gets up very late – usually at Saturday around lunchtime. He is still in his pyjamas and he makes himself a nice cup of coffee and gets onto the Internet. He logs into his drop ship account and browses through some hot selling product. ‘Yes, I can sell that” - A nice laptop for a bargain price of $550 (wholesale price). But David does not have to pay upfront for this item, so he just downloads the professional digital photos offered by his drop ship company to his computer. ”Oh wait”; David has just discovered that this drop ship company has also a ‘ready-to-use’ auction sales letter available. That’s really cool …and David copies and pastes the source code of this letter into his eBay listing and he launches his auction. A Dutch auction, since the drop ship company announced that they have more than one of this laptop currently available. Great, David could sell 6 laptops. He hits the submit button for this Dutch auction of 6 laptops and enjoys his coffee (which is still hot by the way). After 7-10 days David has sold all 6 laptops for $830 each. All what David does is the following: He waits until he gets the payment from his 6 customers in his paypal account, sends the address of the customers together with 6 x $550 (wholesale price) to his drop sip company via paypal. He has made pure profit of 6 x $280 = $1,680 in about 25 min of work – total. That’s why David is a smarter eBay seller than John. I think the idea is clear …drop shipping can be the answer to your problem what to sell on eBay and it can saves you a lot of time too. No packing, posting etc. Secret #2: Have a professional auction listing A professional eBay auction site is like your business card. If you are serious selling on eBay you should show your potential customers that you are a professional seller and that you are selling high quality products. Please, don’t just upload a photo and type the text in the description box. Do your homework and learn some HTML. Look around there are many professional tutorials and ebooks around helping you in that matter. It’s definitely worth it. And you’ll be surprised, because if your auction listing looks nice and professional potential buyers stay longer on your site and usually it’s more likely that they place a bid. Secret #3: The money is in the follow up “Yes, I’ve heard this before”, you may say. But, this is a very important aspect of your successful eBay career: Follow up with your customers. Send them an email ~10 days after they have purchased the product and ask them how they are going with the product and if everything is all right. Invite them to have a look at your other auctions. (You have to be careful though not offending anyone, but if the products are related and you ask how they went with the product, that’s fine). I never got complaints by doing that and your customers are happy to get some “insider tips”. You’ll be amazed how many customers will buy from you again, since they value you as a seller. Keep in mind that it is easier to keep an existing customer, instead of getting a new customer. You could also send them a thank you gift in form of a downloadable digital information product. That’s easy for you and they get some valuable information. You’ll see that your existing customers will be very thankful and they feel good that they have bought from you and will do again in the future. Secret #4: Sell internationally This aspect is often neglected by many eBay sellers: Sell internationally! First, check with your drop ship company in which countries they are shipping and how much postage they charge to send the item overseas. If you have sort out these details, you can go ahead and list your item internationally. You’ll be surprised how many more items you are selling when the potential buyers see: Ship worldwide. Don’t miss this opportunity or you are leaving big bucks on the table. Secret #5: Be creative – Be different How do you think your listing will be stand out from the crowd? Good question isn’t it. In my 4 years of being an active Power Seller, I have tried and tested a lot. First have the photo in the gallery; it just costs a bit more to list but these additional cents are well spend. A recent study has shown that people almost ignore listing without a picture in the gallery. So that’s mandatory! The next step is your title. Do you know that only the title is spidered by eBay when potential customers are searching for specific products? So, you have to make sure that your title includes as much keywords as possible. But be careful here, eBay does not like “keyword stuffing”. So, be creative and come up with 2-3 different titles for the same item. Try them all and you’ll see what works best. Currently ranked as the 37 biggest site on the net (according to Alexa figures) eBay shows no signs of slowing down, even fortune 500 companies are opening eBay shops to sell surplus & unwanted stock. The following are five resources that I use personally & encourage you to use them to increase your eBay profits with ease. Reports show that over 90% of searches on eBay are done using the search facility. What users do not know about eBays search factility is that by default it only searches the item titles - not the descriptions of the items. Remember this fact as it will show the significance of some of the resources listed below. 1) FatFingers How professional a seller are you? Do you check your listings before submitting them or even does someone else proof read them for you? With millions of listings on eBays networks of sites at any one time, a small proportion of these listings contain errors - & a misspelt word is about the biggest error you can make. Imagine your selling a Sony Television for example. What if you misspell the item as Sony Televisoin. Anyone who searches for the term "Sony Television" simply isn't going to be presented with your item. Only those eBayers who search manually though the category will find your items. Needless to say that if people can't find your item, they're unable to bid on them. FatFingers is a service you can use to find all misspelt variations of a term. Why would you need such a service? Well obviously if an item has low visibility on eBay it's also likely to have zero or few bids enabling you to snap yourself up a bargain. I've known people use this service to make a full time living, purely buying items cheaply and relisting them without errors. Details at: Fatfingers.com 2) eBay Pulse Back to the search facility eBay pulse shows you the top 10 searched keywords in every category. It's a real gem of a service, obviously by looking at the most widely used search terms you can see what eBayers are after. And if your selling in this category, by inserting some of these keywords within your title your items will be seen by more users. The only thing to watch out with this service is make sure the keywords are relevant to your item, IF NOT DON'T USE THEM. How many times have you saw listings such as "SONY PANASONIC LG WIDESCREEN DIGITAL TELEVISION GUIDE", - listings such as these are well thought out to earn high visibility from the way users search. Anyone searching for the items with any of the keywords will uncover your listings. While it may lead to a high number of views, firstly fellow users will get annoyed if they find your item completely unrevealed to what they searched for, Secondly keyword spamming as it is known, is against eBay policy and will lead to your item being pulled. I use pulse daily with all my listings but make sure it's relevant to your item first. However, the main difference is Keyword-Pro offers a much more in depth list of relevant keywords. It lists the top 50 keywords for every category for both eBay.co.uk & eBay.com. This is a great addition, especially if any of the terms found in eBay pulse are not relevant to your item. Keyword-Pro is available as both a web service or as a small program that downloads the list onto your P.C. It's data is updated weekly to keep you informed of the latest search terms. However, you can upgrade to a more in depth service known as Selling Manager. As eBay describes the service "eBay Selling Manager is our online sales management tool for medium to high volume sellers". It allows you to track every eBay sale, customise your feedback comments, print shipping labels & much more. It saves me about four hours a week tracking orders and watching my sales. Selling Manager is FREE on eBay.co.uk & has a small monthly charge of on eBay.com (after one a month trial free). Once I moved over to Selling Manager, there's simply no way I would go back. 3 Unusual Auction Formats

eBay users are accustomed to only two "standard" formats for sales on eBay: either the 'regular' auction which involves bidding and waiting; and the Buy It Now, which is an instant purchase. But there are three other formats that are less well known. 1. Live Auctions Before eBay, the traditional auction included live bodies in chairs and an auctioneer up front (talking so fast he was frequently unintelligible). Any buyer can still participate in these live auctions via eBay. Live auctions are a hybrid - a buyer is 'sort of' present in a live setting yet is at home using an Internet connection. The products for sale are usually expensive and unusual. There are such items as expensive and unique coins, Asian art, native American artifacts, incredible jewelry, costly furniture, memorabilia from major sports stars and even history. Today, for instance, there are documents signed by John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, James Madison and Ulysses Grant (he confides that he was strenuously opposed to the "wicked" war with Mexico). Private Auctions Private auctions are similar to the typical auction that we're all familiar with except for one detail - the identities of the bidders are kept secret. Only the seller has access to the names. Why would anyone create a private auction? It's usually for one of three reasons: * The item is quite expensive and buyers might be uncomfortable having others know they can afford such merchandise. Their concern about their financial status is most likely misplaced because it is quite possible to distance yourself from eBay contact information, but much of selling is about perception. * The buyers might be embarrassed by the nature of the merchandise. * Some sellers habitually use private auctions to make it harder for their competition to snoop on them. 3. Restricted Access Auctions This is usually for sales of "adult" items. The main purpose is to prevent children from seeing this kind of merchandise, and is similar to having covers on racy magazines at store checkouts. To bid on these items, the buyer must: * Be 18 years old * Must have supplied credit card information to eBay.The theory is that no one under 18 can get a credit card and therefore cannot get into these sections. * Agree that he is voluntarily accessing restricted access auctions In addition, restricted auctions are excluded from the Featured pages. So if you are a seller using this format, your listing will be harder to find. Even though they are less well known, these three formats for auctions on eBay still account for tens of millions of dollars in sales each year.
